Soundserious
a unique, multilingual Indie/Folk/Rock experience with a serious drive

Soundserious {Marilyn M. Hatfield on drums, vocals, percussion and dance, and Troy (Tree) F. Falck on guitar, vocals, percussion and flute} are a captivating rhythmic powerhouse of pure delight. Rich and earthy; gentle and smooth.
Rich rippin' guitar and bangin' female percussion accompanied by smooth vocals, multilingual lyrics and earthly samples keep the dance floor grooving through the night.
Soundserious music is sure to move you! The proof is in the pudding.
Tasty.

Soundserious Delivers New Year's Eve Performance That Wows
Commentary by Dimitri Marshall

Soundserious ushered in 2010 at the Velvet Underground in Nelson, BC this past week, Thurday, Dec. 31, 2009 and, as usual, thrilled the crowd. If you're familiar with major musical events such as Shambhala Music Festival, you may be familiar with this dynamic percussive duo that performed during the opening ceremonies in 2008 and 2009 and are slotted to do so again in '10,  and this time they will continue rocking the crowd after the opening performance.

If you are not familiar with Soundserious, (Marilyn Hatfield on vocals, drums, percussion and dance, and Tree Forest on vocals, guitar, percussion and flute) you are missing a unique mix of percussion, drums, vocals, and bass/guitar, as well as some other earthly sounds, all brought together in a very energetic and hypnotizing (serious) sound. Talking with either of them, you’ll immediately realize the passion, love and creative spirit they embody, which is directly reflected in their music and lyrics.

In 2010, Soundserious will be venturing all across Canada and overseas to share their sound in and around Europe, and possibly New Zealand, where they've also been invited to play. Keep an ear out as you will be able to find their debut studio album, Pray For Rain, available sometime this year!

You can check out Soundserious on facebook or on their web site, www.soundserious.net, for future performance dates and news. If you get the opportunity to check them out live, do yourself a favor and let their rhythms move you.

Our sincerest thanks to Jessica and Tom and the entire staff at the Coastal Kitchen Cafe in Port Renfrew, BC. A wonderful place on Vancouver Island's south end that serves delicious, quality food with a welcoming vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed the crowd, conversation and food.

"Soundserious created a unique and warm ambiance and rocked it out in Renfrew. Loved the professionalism of the whole set up!
Looking forward to our next party together."
~Jessica, Coastal Kitchen Cafe

Our sincere thanks to George, Stacey & the entire Labyrinth crew at Shambhala Music Festival. You rock to the max!!!!!!. Looking forward to it next year.
